The Gdańsk Shakespeare Festival has received EFFE Label 2017 – 2018 granted by „Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe” Platform, this time as a “Remarkable Festival”.

Jury explains:

The festival brings high quality and diverse Shakespeare presentations. It has established a network of European Shakespeare Festivals (ESFN) that validates the European and International engagement. The Gdańsk Shakespeare Theatre also provides high level educational programs throughout the year, in a coherent way and for the whole region; recently created theatre is already becoming one of the new symbols of the city. The Gdansk Shakespeare Festival is an important artistic event with already established mark.
