Shakespeare Festival

The Gdansk Shakespeare Festival is one of the biggest international events which, thanks to the Gdansk Shakespeare Theatre and Theatrum Gedanense Foundation, every year hosts the best Shakespeare productions and the most eminent theatre artists from all over the world.




A festival strand of fringe presentations. Since 2016 run as a competition. This year a part of "Shaking the Walls" project co-financed by Creative Europe Programme of EU.

Golden Yorick

Competition for the Best Polish Production – an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s play or a performance inspired by the works of William Shakespeare – in a given theatre season.
Summer Shakespeare Academy


A perfect place to meet and exchange thoughts with artists during the festival. Diverse programme of educational activities, which offers something interesting to everyone.
