stormy protest song

SzekspirOFF / PERFORMANCE / 35MIN / 16+

The show refers to two figures from “The Tempest”: Prospero and Sycorax, ruling the island and separated from people, and practising magic. Their stories and motives are different, but they are united by their isolation and the catastrophic consequences of the supernatural forces which they have tried to control.

This is a sound performance, a concert combining such forms as noise (wall of sound), protest song, performance art under the original name of “catastrophe protest”, fragments of Shakespeare’s “The Tempest”, covers of well-known songs (e.g. “Stormy weather” or “Somewhere over the rainbow”) and original texts.
